Our goal is to make sure that every Sauk Rapids or St. Cloud truck shopper can get what they need. When you work with our vehicle finance experts, you’ll have someone on your side who wants to put you behind the wheel of that Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado, Ram 1500, or Jeep Wrangler you’ve got your eye on.

Common Finance Terms

When you’re researching auto financing, you’ll see a lot of words get thrown around like candy on Halloween. If you’re a bit unsure, here are the meanings of some of the most commonly used terms.

  • Annual Percentage Rate (APR): APR refers to the amount you’ll pay to borrow money when you finance a vehicle. This gets factored into your loan total and your monthly payments.
  • Base Price: Base price, or MSRP for all-new vehicles, is how much you’ll pay for a vehicle before any add-ons, upgrades, or taxes and fees.
  • Extended Warranty: A warranty outside of a vehicle’s original manufacturer’s warranty, extending coverage beyond the original mileage and term. Many vehicles offered at Your MTH include a certified pre-owned warranty.
  • Loan Term: The term is the amount of time you’ll spend paying back an auto loan. This typically extends between two years and upwards of six or seven years depending on your preference.
  • Trade-In Value: The amount left over after paying off the remaining balance on your current vehicle. If your vehicle is worth more than you owe, you have equity. If you owe more than the vehicle is worth, you’ll need to pay the difference.
