I took my Chevy Traxin for a check engine light. One of the service people found out it was something under warranty. I got a loaner car while mine was worked on. It was a great experience 😊

Everything went very well , my only disappointment was the tires that they put on the car they replaced the tires with some very cheap very cheap tires . Other than that friendly helpful staff decent value on the car

Always happy with MTH

I bought a truck through MTH recently and had a great experience overall. Working with Jacob made the experience extremely smooth and easy. He was very personable and gave transparency throughout the visit. When the truck I wanted to look at was not at the St. Cloud location as stated online, the staff efficiently got it there within a few hours. The finance manager, Ryan, was also very amiable and worked to give me a better rate than my current one. I appreciate how customer driven the company was and definitely will be returning in the future.

I asked for KBB value on my trade and to remove $1600 of products that I didn't want or ask for and they wouldn't do it. There are too many trucks on the market to pay for things that you don't want or need. Vehicles are too expensive as is and being forced to buy ridiculous add ons that provide ZERO benefit comes off as money hungry and pathetic. Disappointing experience.

Best dealership or there!

Dylan Vance did a great job in service along with the technician. I had some unexpected truck repairs that popped up and I would consider it rather major. Dylan (and the technician) did a fantastic job getting me back on the road by clearly explaining my options and time expectations. I am happy with the service I got from the MTH service department.

Excellent customer service. They really took time to listen to what we wanted in a SUV and found a great fit.

Lack of real customer care, gratitude, and appreciation with no recompense for making customers work around them. Came to buy a vehicle from them that had been listed on their website for at least a day before I arrived. When I arrived, they said the vehicle was just about to go in for inspection and just got done with detailing (which was poorly done with many swirls in the paint despite having to pay for their $1200 detail package). They said they would do the inspection after i checked out the car and if i decided to buy it, they would get it ready to bring the car home the same day. I took the car out for a drive and decided to purchase vehicle. In the middle of the paperwork they said i wouldnt be able to take the vehicle home the day of because they didnt finish their inspection and all the techs went home already; blaming me for wanting to check out the car before the inspection. So they told me I would have to come back the next day to pick the car up. The next day I called an hour after they opened to see if the car is ready, they said no, but it was just pulled into the shop and should be done sometime after 12. They called moments later afterwards and for whatever reason the call did not go through, they left me a voicemail stating the car would be done much later, but knowing I had to drive an hour to their shop didnt make the effort to make sure I picked up. I arrived at 12:30pm only to find out that the tech doing the inspection left to lunch and the car was still on the lift. I had to wait until nearly 4pm to get the car out from the shop. Having driven an hour up to their shop there was no way i was going to drive home and back for them to be done. I dont know why they would have thought i could have taken the car the day we completed the paperwork if their inspection on a single vehicle takes an entire day. I dont recommend giving your hard earned money to this business. Dont buy your vehicle here and dont get it serviced here. Apparently they dont truly appreciate their customers .

We had a great experience working with MTH. I had looked at hundreds of trucks online and found this one close to home. They were very accommodating, friendly and professional. I would definitely go back.

They were prompt to ask questions respond back and offered to have me bring it in to the local MTH service location in my hometown to have it looked into it. They did a reset on the car. It appeared to be removed but did come back while driving it later that day. I will have to take to a Lincoln dealer to have it looked into further. This all was a little frustrating to be dealing with a day after buying a Certified 1 year old car with low miles. I am hopeful that the Lincoln dealer can reset it for good and it doesn’t continue to occur. All in all, I am happy with the dealership experience and Jacob!

I have now spent 10 hours out of my life and luckily only $300 of materials from a friend who does this professionally to go back and actually ceramic coat my vehicle.

Found what looked to be a perfect truck from MTH on Carfax. Dig a little further and you will find the price advertised on Carfax doesn’t include non disclosed $1700 in non optional dealer add ons on the MTH website. Really just disappointed in the lack of transparency. Big red flag when shopping for vehicles.

Worst place ever! Sold us a pile of the truck broke down not even 3 miles away from there place, got it back to the dealership and they said they would fix it, clearly didn’t because we have had nothing but problems! Don’t trust this place!!! It needs a new transmission!!

I came in to test drive two vehicles I’d researched online prior to my stopping in. The sales associate came out to meet me the minute I stepped out of my car and introduced herself. I let her know I was going to walk the lot and would be in to see her shortly. After looking at the two vehicles, I was ready to test drive. I entered the dealership and was immediately greeted by the same sales associate. Upon asking to test drive the two vehicles, I was asked to sit down and provide all my personal information, including my current vehicles make and model. Also, she wanted to sit and have a conversation about what kind of vehicle I was looking for and all kinds of other questions that weren’t necessary for a test drive. I just didn’t understand why I was being peppered with questions when all I wanted was to test drive the two vehicles I had previously researched . I left the dealership frustrated with the whole process. The one vehicle I ended up test driving was very nice and I would have considered buying but was so frustrated with all the unnecessary barrage of questions that I just left. The whole experience was a prime example of why buying a new vehicle can be a frustrating experience.

Tl;dr: vehicle had undisclosed damage that dealership did cover, but they lacked communication and had several other issues as written below. They are only getting a second star for resolving all of the issues. I purchased a 2024 ioniq 5 disney edition from this dealership and had them ship it to me due to not being able to make it to the dealership. The good: The purchase process and delivery was easy even though it was not clarified they were driving the car to me and not trailering it so it arrived with a 10% charge. They also included a level 1 charger and the adapter to use on tesla supercharger. The bad: The vehicle was delivered with undisclosed damage. (See pictures) There was a large square scratch on the hood that was not shown in pictures, was not disclosed in the inspection report even though a small dent on the rear was. It could be slightly seen in the walkaround video but looked like a sun glare or a pole reflection and was only a small part of the scratch so I did not know it was a scratch, and was not pointed out by the salesperson. The sales manager asked me multiple times what I want them to do about it which I took to mean as they were not responsible he said this before even looking at the pictures of the damage. After reviewing the pictures I sent and realizing that the full damage wasn't shown anywhere he called me back and offered me $500 or for them to fix it. I asked them to fix it and was told I would receive a call when to bring it to their shop. 10 days later I asked for an update and was told to get local quotes. Only one dealership would work on it and it was $1900 to repair, which the dealership covered. They wanted me to pay out of pocket and send me a check but after some pushback they paid the body shop directly. I was without the car for about a week. From the time I received the vehicle untill repaired and back in my posession was 73 days. I also purchased the vehicle on Feb 6th and the vehicle did not get to me until the 23rd because they said they were waiting on the adapter but then it arrived without the adapter. The adapter was not delivered with the car like I was told it would, and when received it was a cheap ebay part that was for level 2 chargers so they had to send the actual adapter later after I told them it was the wrong part. Communication was extremely lacking with me constantly having to follow up after I was told something would get done by a certain time and then it wouldnt. They also require a $500 carchief subscription that adds no value to new vehicles. It offers things like vehicle health, location, and when to get maitenece but most newer cars offer that in their apps so its useless. Financing also initially offered me like 8% apy but I had 4.8ish with my bank and they magically found one that had 4.98 right after I said that. My assumption is they wanted a higher kickback. Edit: having a canned response to reviews adds to scumminess.

Would not recommend!!! Bought a 2022 Ram 1500 Warlock edition and everything was fine until the transmission shit out at 12,000 miles and when I talked to my dealership I was told the truck was manufactured in Canada and the U.S would not warranty anything. When I called MTH I was told basically it's not their problem. Was horrible customer service by the GM and sales for not informing me of the truck being from Canada and having zero warranty in the states.

The experience 5 star right away, felt pretty good on deal. After getting home and inspecting vehicle, found out there was no jack or tools to change tire(maybe my fault for not looking at every little thing on the lot). Anyway called dealer and got the feeling that they made there deal and didn't care. Also had to pay for the car chief, no option without. Month later and they haven't fixed email address to log into. Should have to call them all the time to fix it. Just got the feeling your just a number.

I got mods installed on my truck, and after driving 30 minutes I found loose bolts and a missing nut. My front axle was not centered, the driver side was sticking out further. It took them 3 hours to check it all over and fix it.

Don’t buy from these guys! Sell you a warranty and don’t stand behind it. Try to upsell you on parts and labor. Even had a past employee of their’s state there was an issue with the vehicle but they refused to fix!!!!’

Zero out of 10 would I recommend. First, they sold me a lemon truck that was in the shop more then I had it. Said they wanted to "make it right" and get me in a new truck. Later found out that they just tacked the old loan on a newer truck. Which 4 years later, im still having continuous issues with and the "warranty" I paid for covers practically nothing. Waste of money and time. Their vehicles are trash and the sales men are or at least were sleezy. I would never recommend someone to go there.

I decided to go a different route later on. A few times a week thereafter I was receiving calls, texts and voicemails trying to get me to purchase a vehicle. I get that’s how this business works but for me if you bug me that much just to try to make a sale it makes me want to just go elsewhere where I can make my own informed descion and not be pushed into something I don’t want.

Highly do not recommend. I have work with many dealerships. My brother is a manager and a Toyota dealership and my uncle at ford dealership. When I received the trade in value of my vehicle I got a horrible feeling when I was told my tires need to be changed due to ware and I had just replaced them and was offered more buy other dealer where I do my oil change regularly. Then Financing the worst guy feel ever when you have 100% on time payment history. I was offered a horrible interest rate and when I inquired about the other options very vague just look away and said they denied for what ever reason . When we went back there I brought up some issues and very quickly she got very defensive and snippy. I asked again about the other lenders once again vague. This the point I should have walked away but I did not, and I have to live with that decision. My brother told he has made mistakes as well when buying vehicles even with being a manager in a dealership and also told me I could have just sold it for a better deal at my local dealer. All that said just follow your gut. If you are feeling something is off something is 100% off.

Worst experience I’ve ever had. Showed up and the vehicle I wanted to see was dirty and smelt horrible so switched to another which was somewhat better. Was talking over numbers and was lied to by management about lending. Was told if I financed with them I would get 1k off but was told if I didn’t make 6 payments I would be forced to come back and pay them the 1k difference or lose the. This is not true and a lie and a scare tactic to try and avoid a charge back. There are no penalties for paying off a loan early or refinancing. Once they found out I didn’t want to finance after hearing this I was basically told they didn’t want my business and they “had someone else” who was going to finance it if I didn’t want to. I’ve always heard horrible stories of this place and I’d say they are right. Stay away!

Buying experience was okay. After the sale has been less than great. Had to return to the dealership to correct multiple forms. Transferred license plates from the old truck to the new one due to being handicapped and veteran plates. Dealer then sent me new license plates. I have reached out to my salesman and one other person at the dealership multiple times, but have gotten no response. So now I have to take time off work to go fix their mistakes and will likely cost me out of pocket. Not sure I will purchase from here again.

The buying experience was good but I didn't care for the aftermarket warranty they pushed on me.

They are terrible. Typical dealership that lies their way through a sale. If we hadn't bought an extended warranty we would have had over $30,000 in repairs. Be sure to check your vehicle over before buying. Mary Lesnick- Schreiner

Highly disappointed. I wasted a full day going to see a vehicle earlier this week. An hour into my drive to the dealership, I was informed the vehicle I was going to see was in the shop. I went back today (3hrs one way) and didn’t even make it to the test drive. I was told the car was in great condition, but it certainly was not. Every panel on the car was misaligned, it had numerous missing clips, random smudges of white paint(it’s black), both front tire rims had obvious damage that was poorly painted over, & the salesman (Ryan) had to hold the tail light back in place while the trunk was closing so it wouldn’t scrape. The front bumper was severely cracked and super glued (poorly) back in place. When said to the salesman he nodded and said yeah. I could keep going.. The more I looked the worse it got and they were well aware of all the damage. It’s unfortunate that I was not made aware of it too. The salesman didn’t offer any solution or reasoning for the condition of the vehicle, & mind you it is only 4 years old. They claimed it’s never been in an accident. Clearly that was not the case. The second vehicle I was shown was no better. It also had body damage & was ≈$14,000 more than the original vehicle! NONE of this was disclosed before I made a 6+ hour round trip. All around a horribly disappointing experience with very poor customer service. I would definitely NOT recommend this dealership.

Absolutely would never consider MTH again. Bought a vehicle needed service no call back. Now has been in the shop for 6 months in and out at a different dealership. This vehicle we bought a year ago. And not only was it our vehicle it happened to my sister in law as well.

I was charged more then listed on CARFAX, I received an after market key fob that did not access all features the car like remote start, open tailgate, fold in side mirrors, A new fob cost me $635. The finance person almost charged me $5000 in extended warranty I did not want.

Zero service after the sale and zero accountability taken by multiple MTH staff. I’ve included a narrative of the following MTH’s failures pre/post sale. They include title work, extended warranty cancellation, oil change, missing components and overall poor communication. My title information was sent to the wrong city (I live in Bismarck, ND and MTH's third party sent all my title paperwork to Dickinson, ND 100 miles away) but it wasn't MTH's fault if you ask them. It was their third party and North Dakota DOT's fault that I wasted multiple trips to the Bismarck DOT looking to do my title work and figuring this out on my own. I drove 200 miles roundtrip to handle it. My salesperson would only text me, rather than return my call. MTH staff claim you can get a refund for your extended warranty if you change your mind. I waited nearly three months to get a refund for cancelling an extended warranty. Through the course of several emails and voicemails to both the Finance Manager and Brand Manager/Dealer Principal I was told it can take more than a month for an envelope to make it from Minnesota to Iowa (especially if there's a holiday involved, like Memorial Day). I thought the pony express wasn't a thing anymore... however I was mistaken. I was able to have my financial institution send a check to the same address in one week, over the 4th of July holiday (7/3 to 7/11). What took MTH three months to accomplish, I was able to complete in 10 days. Pro tip: if you really “need” the extended warranty refuse it at first and then watch the price drop significantly before you purchase. Negotiate! Beware of poor service work and cheap oil filters (photos attached). I performed an oil change on my 2023 Navigator only to find the top engine cover missing and “skid plate” under engine fabric cover hardware is missing (shame on me for not checking this before it left MTH) and a $6 oil filter used by MTH. The only motivation for the covers coming off is for some form of service work, and no one has been under the hood except MTH prior to this. Perhaps the tech got busy and forgot to put the top engine cover back on? I’ve included pictures of quality engine oil and premium oil filters for MTH’s reference. I would never put a cheap $6 Napa oil filter on an SUV that retails over $100M new. Even if I was selling it. I’d be so ashamed. My salesperson didn't follow up after a $70M vehicle purchase (a simple “How do you like the new rig?” phone call would be nice…), gave me excuses on why the title work was sent to the wrong DMV, didn't follow through on completing the interior detail as promised (MTH had a week to finish it), and the aftermarket warranty/financing salesperson gave me excuses on why a check can't be issued and arrive one state away in less than three months. The oil change was done with cheap filters and engine parts were not reinstalled. The Brand Manager/Dealer Principal did not return multiple voicemails. I think I'll spend my money somewhere else next time, as I'm not a fan of excuses, poor communication, cheap oil filters and overall lack of performance. Once that check clears, you're on your own in my one and only experience at MTH. The Brand Manager/Dealer Principal wouldn’t respond to my voicemails, maybe he’ll respond to this one-star review.

I was disheartened to read so many positive reviews, as my experience with Josh, a salesman at this dealership, was unfortunately quite the opposite. My husband and I were actively searching for a new Tesla and noticed that MTH had a vehicle we were very interested in. We reached out and were connected with Josh. From the start, he was quick to place a time constraint on us, stating he had “other customers” to attend to. Despite this, we chose to give him the benefit of the doubt and continued engaging with him. Today, we called to further discuss the vehicle and inquired about the possibility of negotiating the price. Rather than responding professionally, Josh laughed at the question, making the interaction feel dismissive and condescending. His tone was unnecessarily passive-aggressive, and we were made to feel as though our inquiry—a perfectly reasonable one—was beneath him. I don’t know if his behavior was influenced by prior experiences with other buyers, but the way we were treated was uncalled for and highly unprofessional. I raised a concern with Brian, the manager, who unfortunately seemed more inclined to excuse the behavior than address it appropriately. While I have no doubt that this dealership has many positive aspects, our experience with Josh has left a lasting impression. Based on this interaction, I would not feel comfortable doing business with MTH in the future if this is the standard of customer service expected and accepted.

Three weeks ago, on 3/14/25, I purchased a 2015 Toyota SUV from MTH. The salesperson was nice enough; heavily mentioned his experience & his pride in the facility's 50-point inspection. The buying process was easy & they have a fantastic area for children, which my own kids really enjoyed & found distraction in. The week after purchasing, I noticed that the temp plates MTH placed on my vehicle did not match the make or model of my vehicle & included someone else's information entirely. I contacted the DMV for guidance on how to proceed & was told it was illegal for me to drive the vehicle. I was ill for a few days & didn't leave home, then called MTH to let them know of this issue on 3/27/25. They were wonderful with the resolution of this (I think Gina & Jesse assisted me) & mailed out the correct temp plates that same day. I imagine they had to do the same for the buyer driving around with my own personal information. I received the correct temp plates in the mail on 4/1/25 & was finally able to drive the vehicle legally. Yay! However - that very same day, just 18 days after purchasing it from MTH, the vehicle would not start. It would "turn over", make some muffled engine noises, but not fire. All lights work correctly & there is no "ticking" involved. My 3 children & I were left stranded in the most recent snowstorm (32°), in a vehicle we were driving for only the 4th time after leaving the MTH lot. Reflecting back, the vehicle was running (no need to start it) at the beginning of the test drive at MTH & was again left running for us when leaving the facility after purchasing. Perhaps that's a coincidence but, in hindsight, it's another piece of objective information related to my experience. I've been working with manager Jorge since 4/2/25 regarding the vehicle not starting. He asked me to attempt several different troubleshooting tasks during different phone calls, such as using the spare key to try to start the car & attempting to repeatedly change gears before attempting to start the car, as that is what worked for his sister (?). All were ineffective. The next step he has proposed, on a Friday 4/4/25 afternoon, is that my family pay the cost to have the vehicle towed to the MTH garage nearest our home (40 miles away) on Monday 4/7/25. Jorge states that they will "work with me" on repairing the issue but has offered no solid plan for resolution or clarity on whether or not they will assist in the cost of this repair. I didn't expect perfection from a 10 year old vehicle, but feel like being able to drive it after purchase is not an unreasonable request. I'm not sure if the car is registered in my name at this point. I have yet to form a final opinion of MTH but do feel it's important to share objective information for other families & potential customers in real time. So far my experience is: I purchased a vehicle, was given the incorrect documentation (& mine given to someone else), & the car I purchased drove 4x before it was undriveable. MTH uses catchphrases like "family owned & family friendly"; "we do the right thing"; "customers for a lifetime". Time will tell if they place real value on those words as a dealership & as people; we all know the heart of a business shows truest when things don't go smoothly. For those of you who have asked for updates, I will post an edit here & on FB with the outcome!

Low ball place for buying your car. Not worth selling to.

Waste of time at this dealership. Thought was a done deal...comes back 2 hours later to say the bank doesn't want to finance an old vehicle ( 2017) without a down payment. 3.5 hours spent here.

Not a good experience. Was told i couldnt test drive until i filled out a loan application, i said what if i dont want too buy it, and still could not test drive. Who does this?

I purchased a vehicle about 7 months ago from MTH with a warranty. I no longer needed that warranty and tried canceling it. It has been a HUGE PAIN in that process. They will not answer my emails or phone calls whatsoever regarding the warranty cancelation. Feels like once you purchase something from them, they ghost you. I DO NOT RECOMMEND MTH

It started out good with the salesman but It soon turned into one of the worst buying experiences I’ve ever had buying a car. I would never recommend Minnesota Truck Headquarters to anyone. The financial officer likes pushing papers too fast to try to screw you over and buy extra stuff that you don’t need.

Horrible horrible! Called about a pickup Friday afternoon to confirm they had it, yes they did. Drove 6 hours to see family and called again to confirm Saturday morning, yes still for sale but will call back about details. No call back. Fine, last call before a final 3 hour drive leaving at 12pm but too busy to talk details but still for sale. Arrived at 3 pm “truck was sold this morning”. Very unprofessional, sloppy, Lucy you suck. To clarify this was at the wholesale lot, I went to main location in St.Cloud and had a great experience. Lucy you suck.

Upon first impressions I thought this place would be different than all of the other dealerships I had previously been to. I couldn’t be more wrong. I started off by receiving a good offer online for my car, saying it is in high demand. Having been disappointed three times this week at separate dealerships. I was talking beforehand to Hunter, to make sure the offer was legit, there would be no issue with selling my car, etc as I had to drive far and had spent hours this week already wasting time. Hunter assured me there would be no problem so we went. We arrived and were waiting for Hunter to finish up with a different customer when another employee (still don’t know his name) came, took my keys, and hopped in my car. Then went over to the computer for a while and came back with an offer $1,700 LESS than what was originally offered, keep in mind my car was in the exact condition as i stated in the questionnaire online. We immediately stood up to leave as that was a substantial amount less than we were expecting and this guy raised his voice at us and said “You want the money or not? I’m trying to help you.” At this point I’d rather take a little less $$ for my car than to ever go back to MTH and deal with those clowns again. Unfortunately can’t get my time back and I already had a better offer on the table than what these people came back with. They’ll say anything you get you in and then try to screw you over. I won’t be back and everyone else, be aware.

UPDATE: I spoke with the manager as he commented. He sent me my documents. The documents I signed were in fact an "Autocheck" not a carfax. However, the document does in fact say there was NO ACCIDENT even though there WAS IN FACT AN ACCIDENT. He offered to buy my vehicle I bought for 8 months ago for 33k for 20k today. Which is $1500 more than the other trade in offer I was given. I told him $1500 difference isn't worth the taxes in buying a new car but I appreciated him trying to help so I'd change the rating to 2 or 3 stars but then he kept bullying me to give him a 5 star rating and my issue shouldn't be with the dealer but with "autocheck" the tool they told me it showed no accident. But the fact remains he sold me a car that was in an accident and is worth a LOT less when they had me sign something saying it was not in an accident. Since he continued to tell me how wrong I was for being upset with the dealership I am deciding to leave it at a one star review. I would highly recommend not going to this dealer. I bought a car here about a year back. It was an okay experience. I felt like I had a good price but the sales people were pushy. I was initially satisfied. But two things have happened since. First, when they pulled my credit, it pulled three times which was a super annoying ding on my credit. Second, even worse, I recently went to check my trade in price of my car. Apparently it had been in a major accident. I got a clean carfax when I bought it from them but now I'm finding out that isn't the case. I don't know how that happened but I feel like this is not an honest operation and I've lost out on thousands now. If I still had the paper work I'd honestly think about legal action but I don't have any proof anymore of the documents they shared. I would very much not recommend.

Buyer beware they paint a great picture with the photos but after $1,000 of fuel I spent getting here nothing but a rust bucket. And they wanted top dollar...

Wouldn't buy vehicle due to the fact I didn't want to use as trade in, brought in a truck clearly worth 5-6000 tried to tell me it was only worth 700, just a complete bull shop

Beyond horrible. Bought 2 trucks there with cash and both had major problems. The general manager Brian tried taking to him and gave no resolution and started laughing at me. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Just another number to them.
